Open Roadscapes
We are always looking for vacation destinations that provide opportunities for landscape and nature photography. Many times it's just the two of us, and sometimes we are able to share our vacation time with our daughter, Rachel, or with friends. Our current tools: for still images, a Nikon D750 camera with Nikkor 24-120 mm and 300 mm lenses, using Adobe Lightroom for basic editing and Photomatix Pro for HDR work; for movies, a Canon Vixia HF G30 and GoPro Hero4 Black for video, a Zoom H2n for audio, and Final Cut Pro for editing on a Macbook Pro.
Starting in early 2015, much of our vacation time was spent driving and camping in a Free Spirit SS, a Class B motorhome manufactured by Leisure Travel Vans. In 2017, we started traveling in an Allegro Open Road 32SA, one of the Tiffin Class A motorhomes. In mid-2021, we transitioned to another Tiffin model, an Allegro Bus 40 IP. Our goal for these motorhomes has been to help us escape more easily for hiking, bicycling, and kayaking adventures, and we will continue to share the best of our landscape photography through this "Open Roadscapes" website.
